9-Step Sauna Routine

Using a sauna isn’t just about sitting in the heat. Follow these steps to get the most out of your session:

  1. Before You Begin
    • Wait at least an hour after eating before using a sauna, but don’t go in on an empty stomach.
    • Drink water or herbal tea (like chamomile or lime blossom) to stay hydrated.
  2. Get Ready
    • Take a warm shower to prepare your body for the heat.
    • Dry off completely; you’ll start sweating faster if your skin is dry.
  3. First Sauna Session (15 minutes)
    • Step into the sauna and relax in the dry heat (around 90–100°C).
    • Let your body adjust to the temperature and enjoy the calm atmosphere.
  4. Cool Down (2 minutes)
    • Take a cool shower to close your pores and refresh yourself.
  5. Rest (10 minutes)
    • Lie down on a lounger and let your body recover before the next round.
  6. Second Sauna Session (15 minutes)
    • Head back into the sauna, but this time, pour some water over the hot stones to create steam.
    • Breathe deeply and let the humidity work its magic.
  7. Cool Down Again (2 minutes)
    • Rinse off with another cool shower.
  8. Final Rest (10 minutes)
    • Lie down, relax, and let your body fully absorb the benefits of the session.
  9. Stay Hydrated
    • End your sauna time with a glass of water to rehydrate.
